About
A small crew of climbers, run by the man on the rope.
V. Ortiz Tree Service has been working trees across Houston NW since 2003. Today the operation is still small enough that Victor returns the call himself, walks the property himself, and is usually the one in the saddle when it’s time to climb.

“The rope, the bar, the bucket — same gear, twenty-three years.”
— Victor
Our story
Started in 2003.Still climbing.
Victor Ortiz started the company with a saddle, a Stihl, and an old pickup. 23 years later, the truck is a chip truck, the saws have multiplied, and we run a bucket truck for most jobs — but the work hasn’t changed. Show up when we said we would. Climb the tree the right way. Leave the lawn looking like nobody was there.
We work trees and only trees. We don’t mow your lawn, we don’t spray your beds, we don’t build patios. When you call us, you get a tree person — not a generalist who saw a YouTube video. That focus is why we’ve been doing this for two decades and counting.
Most of our work comes from a neighbor pointing across the fence after we took a giant pine off their roof. We’d like to keep it that way.
